Tom’s Senior Session.

When seniors contact me for photos, I try to encourage them to bring along some props, or favorite items to their shoot– or have them choose a spot that has meaning for them.  It lends for comfortable, unique photos that tell the story of who the senior is at this time in his or her life.  When I pulled into Tom’s driveway to meet him for our shoot, the garage door was open, and I saw a unicycle.  I had to ask, of course.  Or maybe I told him?  –”You gotta’ bring it!”  Yeah, I think it was more like that.  :)  I did check first to ensure that it belonged to him.  Regardless, I’m glad you brought it, Tom, because you made your pictures look pretty spiffy.  (Plus, how often is it that I get to crouch down in the middle of the road to get a shot?)

The weather was beautiful, the sky was blue, and the light was warm.  Nothing like that evening light.  Isn’t CT such a lovely place?

Okay, so I liked the unicycle.

You know how teenagers sometimes get a bad rap?  So many of the seniors I’ve gotten to know are kind, respectful, hard-working and quite industrious.  That’s the case with Tom. See what I mean here.

Tom, thanks for the privilege of taking your senior photos.  Thanks, too, for rolling with my ideas, laughing at with me throughout the evening, and making for an easy-going, enjoyable couple of hours.  Paul and I wish you all the best as you approach graduation!
