Class of 2011. Emily.

I know. I say it a lot. But I’ll repeat it:  I love shooting senior sessions. It’s a great time to get to know someone, to reminisce about that time of life when everything of the future seemed to be stretching out on a beckoning road. I love to hear about the senior’s school plans, about his or her goals. I love to hear about what they ‘want to be’ and what colleges they’re thinking about applying to. I love my seniors.

Recently, I had the chance to spend time with Emily- shooting her senior pictures, tromping through fields and streams and… well, all sorts of places. She traveled up to Connecticut from Philadelphia to have her photos taken– leaving her home in the morning, getting her photos done, and turning around and going back home that evening. It had to be a long day for her and her mom, but I was thrilled to have the opportunity to spend time with them- enjoying the conversation and spiffy props that they brought along.

Emily and Michelle, thanks for trusting me to take these photos– and for traveling our way. It was a privilege working with you. Enjoy your senior year, Emily, and all the best as you decide on colleges and future plans!

“Isn’t it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive–it’s such an interesting world. It wouldn’t be half so interesting if we know all about everything, would it? There’d be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
