I’ve always loved them, always known they loved me. But this year, with a deeper gratitude, with more feeling and realization than ever before, it is for these people that I am so thankful. These people who are patient, and caring, and supportive. Who teach and listen and help, giving without expecting a return.

I wish I had the words to say it how it really is, how much I love this crew. Somehow when it’s my own family, I have a loss for writing, and what I want to say ends up sounding trite and empty. I long for the right structure of sentence to convey it, but instead I rely on the superior words of one Jane Austen:  “If I loved you less, I could talk about it more.”
