Friday Favorite. #11.

A brand new feature for this Friday’s favorite– I love what I’m showcasing today. Enough that I bought a set, and plan on getting that green set eventually, too. And I may be eyeing the white set, as well. How pretty for the holidays…

I like them. A lot. They are little works of art, each one unique and soft and spiffy.

They are big- and beautiful. The larger one is 4 1/2″ by 4″, and the smaller is no lightweight at 3 1/4″ by 3 1/4″. When I’m not wearing one of these felted pins, they are resting amid our Christmas decor.

I like them on my mantle. (Which is dusty, no? Welcome to CT when it’s 12 degrees and the woodstove is spewing dust all over my living room. Fun.)

I like them on my laptop bag. (Which isn’t holding a laptop at all, but a client album sample. – Client meeting last nite. Haven’t cleaned out the bag since.)

I like the little pin on my purse. (Which has an eye wear receipt peeking out. From Joel’s glasses. Which we purchased last night. Do you know that boys are just made differently right from the start? He stood there for 15 seconds, picked up two pairs, and said, “I like these.” He walks over to the mirror, tries them on, says, “What do you think?” – ‘It’s up to you, Joel. Either one looks really good.’ – “Okay, Mom. I like this pair the best out of the two of them. Let’s get ‘em.” And that was that. He is his father’s son. And I love it. Let’s just say if it were Nora picking out glasses, well…)

I like them on my jean jacket. (Which gets tons of compliments. – The flowers, not the jacket.) Yes, I like them anywhere.

Okay, I am starting to sound like Dr. Seuss- (And I will eat them in a house. And I will eat them with a mouse. And I will eat them here and there. Say! I will eat them ANYWHERE!)

Know what? My sister Katie is the purveyor and creator of these fine goods. Katie is an artist. Like, really. Not a compliment here, a fact. No really, she paints, and decorates, and felts, and designs, and I know not what. (Name that quote.) She’s full of energy and creativity and never quits. She has just started an Etsy shop, and you’d better hurry up and get one now if you like them, because I have a feeling it won’t be long before the secret’s out all over Etsy.com.  KatieCreated. Have fun visiting. Here. I am sure your mom/sister/friend/niece/sister-in-law/aunt/wife/daughter/grandma/mother-in-law/cousin/teacher/mail lady- will love receiving a beautiful set for Christmas.

Kara - I am a proud wearer (is that a word?) of the cream set – I like to call it “winter white”. I LOVE IT!
It’s so soft & sophisticated and adds a little somethin’ to the winter sweater collection.

Jeff - Remind me to tell you sometime my analogy about men shoppers as hunters and women shoppers as gatherers… We’ve found that trips to the store with my dear bride go much better if I know in advance whether we’re “shopping” or “buying”!

Betsy Jo - @ Jeff: I’m sure it’s an interesting analogy. Maybe we could cure that by Jill and I just shopping sometime? :)
