For this session of our adorable nephew Ryker’s one year photos, Beth requested getting one picture of Ryker and Gavin together- a brother photo. It’s not easy to get a one year old and two year old both happy and attentive in a photo, but they did great!
Love these two boys.
You know Kayla, who has worked with me for over a year now? She is learning how to shoot manual with a new camera I recently got for the business. It’s so fun to have her along- to get a different perspective and have two different focal length lenses going at the same time. I’m so happy to be able to call her my second shooter instead of assistant. I always felt like ‘assistant’ sounded stuffy and didn’t really describe the valuable work she does. Learning to shoot completely in manual mode isn’t always easy– She is doing so well, and I hardly had to teach her at all before we began this session. She just jumped right in. While I was working in the above spot with a 50 mm 1.4 lens, she was seeing things from a totally different viewpoint using an 85mm 1.8 lens. To be honest, I’m pretty proud of her.
And again, from Kayla’s view:
I thought this one was so sweet- Kayla grabbed it of Beth and Ryker while I was photographing Ryker’s cousin June. (She’s up next!)
Happy Birthday, Ryker!
