Landon.

We had a weekend filled with snow- our kids played with neighbors and cousins, went sledding, shoveled driveways, drank steaming hot chocolate, and left their flotsam and jetsam all over the house.

It was pretty great.

I think one of my favorite things about photography is the opportunity I have to take pictures of our nieces and nephews. They always cooperate, they listen, and just plain put up with Aunt Betsy taking their photos. I love to banter with them, talking to them and asking questions as I shoot away. And while they think I’m just being a silly aunt, they don’t know there’s a reason for it– that I’m just waiting for that split second where they show the camera who they are, the little person we get to know and love.

‘Love this boy for lots of reasons– he’s gentle and introspective, watching with those deep-pooled brown eyes, always taking things in. Plus he’s a middle child- which is easily understood around these parts.

Landon Joseph.

Cheryl - Love this picture of Landon (as any Grandma would). He did a great job of shoveling our driveway and paths in the yard.
