It was so fun spending the day outside with the kids yesterday. I studied for Boards while sitting in the sun, did a little knitting and a lot of laughing. I forgot how nice it is to have them home. (When they’re not arguing, anyway.) We try to keep a steady supply of water balloons on hand in the summer, which can sometimes cause trouble if someone is hit too hard. So Connor decided to get out the little bat and whack them across the yard instead. I took a few turns, too. It was just as fun and refreshing as it looks.

Just right. Relaxing, hanging out at home, making our own fun. Good first day of summer vacation.
