  • WELCOME!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Betsy, and I like taking pictures-- of people, most of all. I'm wife to Paul and mother to Joel, Nora and Connor. They are my favorite subjects. I'm a Special Care nurse by day, a knitter and reader by night. I love New England, and Cape Cod most of all.

I am available for some limited travel, especially if it's to Ireland or some other lovely clime.

Wanna' get in front of my camera? Get in touch and we'll set up a session!

Senior Session- Sam

Okay, so I have to just say it: Sam’s grown up. Not that long ago, I was hanging out here in CT with his big sister and laughing at his little kid antics. Like smiling at the fact that his outfit of choice always involved sweat pants. Or that he loved all things ‘boy’ — tractors, trucks, lawn mowers, anything with an engine. Last I knew, his Mom was lecturing him: “Clean your room and finish your homework!”

As I was taking his senior pictures, I couldn’t help but remember those times when he was Dee’s pesky little brother whom we loved to ignore. It seems that when there’s a lens in front of my eyes, all my senses are heightened and I remember things both humorous and sentimental. Such was the case in Illinois. How time and location have changed things for Sam and his family. –But the whole ‘clean your room’ thing? Well, some things never change.:)

Love ya’, Samuel John! All the best as you start your Senior year! (Oh! One more thing: do me a favor and don’t end up in our last shooting location, okay?:)

“Then, without realizing it, you try to improve yourself at the start of each new day; of course, you achieve quite a lot in the course of time. Anyone can do this, it costs nothing and is certainly very helpful. Whoever doesn’t know it must learn and find by experience that a quiet conscience makes one strong.”

Senior Session- Julie

I’m going to be posting lots (and lots) of photos in the next few days; sometimes more than one in a day. Be sure to scroll down so nothing was missed!

My first session during my IL trip was this senior shoot- Julie was a great sport, hauling around props and going to all sorts of different spots to get some beautiful backdrops. I think it was worth it! (Plus, I got to see IL in a whole new way.)

Thanks for your upbeat, friendly nature, Julie. It was nice to meet you! Enjoy your pictures!
