Color.

I’ve been looking for some fun (DIY, low-budget) ways to add little pops of color to our kitchen. We recently (okay, Paul recently) re-painted the room from Guilford Green to Wickham Grey. (I may choose paint colors based a little bit on their names. I wish it weren’t true, but…) I love that the new grey color opens a bunch of possibilities for how I can decorate, and I’m looking forward to putting in a zip of spice here and there.

Enter Pinterest. It’s been my go-to place for ideas & DIY projects. I recently found this pin and decided to go ahead and create it for our kitchen counter, with a little twist.

It’s kind of silly, but every time I look at it now, I grin. Because who doesn’t love a rainbow sitting on their counter?
