She let me convince her to go out in the snow and bring a colorful blanket.
‘Just for fun,’ I told her.
She acquiesced, even though she maybe didn’t understand my idea of fun.
The cold made water leak from our eyes.
Snowflakes landed on her eyelashes.
It was too cold to wipe them away with her bare fingers, so she tried winking them away.
We were freezing.
We ran inside, still shivering, shaking off the cold.
And we both agreed.
It was fun, after all.
