I cannot imagine life without a garden in it. One of the happiest parts of my day throughout the growing season is when I can go for a walk around our yard, shears in hand, to pick a bouquet for the house. It brings me joy, fills my heart, and gives me clarity. No other inanimate object brings me as much happiness as flowers do.
It felt wonderful to bring in the first little gathering of the season– natural and fulfilling, like coming home again.
Welcome, spring.
“Now blooms the lily by the bank, The primrose down the brae; The hawthorn’s budding in the glen, The milkwhite is the slae.”
-Robert Burns
Jill - I’m a little envious….I thought it was great that my tulips are showing lovely green leaves above the ground. We have a ways to go to blooms like your daffodils though. But hey, it’s SPRING! And I’m so glad. I love the depth of field in your photos. You are so talented, Betsy!
Ellen - This certainly brightens a drizzlely (is that even a word? lol) Monday morning.
