Of sugar & spice & sand & icing.

A day at the beach. Three little blond heads, and some sweet home-baked cookie-lollipops. What a way to spend the day.

This crew came from Ohio to visit Rocky Neck and have their photos taken, as a birthday gift to the mom of this crew. Let’s just say she’s around my age… (ahem. a little, tiny, minute bit older than me, actually.)

This is Reagan. Sweet, chocolate-brown eyes and a mega-watt smile. With a heart of gold to match.

Riley. Energetic, observant and playful. With a smile that melts his mother’s heart.

Reanna. A quiet smile, a little girl who has never met a stranger. Happy to just be happy.

All the beautiful cookies you see in this post?  They are both pretty to look at and delicious to eat. And all made by Julie, the mother of these 3 kiddos. I told her that she needs to start a baked goods shop on etsy.com– especially because she lives in Ohio, and I in CT. How else can I get some more?  ;)  What do you think, should she sell them online? So creative!

Not just creative, but kind-hearted, too. Julie’s a long-time betsyjoblog reader, and has read how much I love living in CT. (in the summer, anyway.) So with that in mind she made up a bag of custom CT-shaped cookies. I was delighted! How cute are they?

Disclaimer: There were at least double the amount of what is shown in this photo.  Umm… yeah.

Julie, Riley, Reanna, & Reagan: THANK YOU for making the trip to CT and making our day together an enjoyable one. It was great meeting all of you– make sure you come out again, okay?
