Winter at the Cape.

Again with a post about Cape Cod. I can’t help it.

This just seems like a good way to begin the week.

I like remembering.

I like trekking up to the Cape in winter.

Our little trip was like taking a first bite into that upside down piece of watermelon- knowing that it’s only going to get better; that the familiar sweet flavor of summer is going to come eventually. It was nice to be reminded; to watch the softened light signal the ending of day. To breathe deeply of salt air and sea and sand, to know the familiar ways from years of memories. A wonderful feeling to stand together on her shores, and enjoy that first taste of what’s to come.

Isn’t it nice to have the ability to anticipate?
