10 in 10.

I had this post ready yesterday, before the news of devastation and sadness hit the world this morning. And so this little project seems quite trivial now.

Last year, I did a photo a day for 365 days, and shared some on the blog. But you know what? It was hard– to remember to take one, to figure out after they were uploaded which day # went to which photo. I enjoyed it, but knew at the conclusion that I wouldn’t be repeating the endeavor this year. Recently, I found a post on this blog about doing a series called ‘Ten in Ten’ where you take one photo every hour for ten hours of your day. So I did that yesterday. It was fun, easier, and good for me. I’ll be doing it once a month, on the tenth of the month.

Do you know how hard it is for me to only take 10 photos in one day? No? Well, it was. Quite difficult; thus a lesson in economy. And that is always a good lesson to learn.

Here’s Thursday, March 10th in 10 hours:

While we enjoy the constant blessings and happy comforts of life, it is hard to imagine the depth of suffering half a world away. How different their day looks from ours. ‘So much to contemplate, so many in thought and prayer today.

Jeff - That was fun! For some strange reason, it really tickled me to think about you and Connor sitting there reading “Weirdos From Another Planet” together… Or maybe it’s not such a strange reason?

Julie - Love it! Thanks for sharing your day! My favorites? The laundry shot…which is in truth a big part of a mother’s day. And the photo of the feet of a mama and her boy. There is nothing. more precious than spending part of your day snuggling up with a child and sharing a book with them. Love it Betsy! Looking forward to April 10th! (And I may have to use the idea on my blog)
