Lindsay & Todd – Connecticut Wedding.

Lindsay and Todd’s wedding was full of family and friends, combined with plenty of relaxed, candid moments. Lindsay was so laid-back and happily placid. Todd was thoroughly enjoying himself and grinning from ear to ear throughout the day.

It was a privilege to be welcomed into their homes and treated as an extension of the guest list. Todd and Lindsay are just like that. Down-to-earth, and full of genuine warmth.

Lindsay got ready at her parent’s home, where she grew up and formed childhood memories. It was so nice to be able to get those last moments before she walked down the aisle and became a wife.

(See? ‘Told you Todd grinned all day long.)

Love this next photo. One of my favorites- it tells such a simple, sweet story.

After the ceremony, the guests headed over to Saint Clements Castle, where we began portraits of the couple. The Connecticut River was beautiful, the fall foliage making a misty appearance while a little sprinkle added just enough texture.

The sprinkles started to turn to real drops, and Todd scooped Lindsay up so that she wouldn’t get her dress all muddy.

Another very, very favorite-

The raindrops increased, and then…

…A full-blown deluge arrived– and with it, plenty of help so we could finish up portraits.

We made it work, and Todd and Lindsay were unconcerned as they enjoyed their first moments together as husband and wife.

St. Clements had so many great spots that we could work with even though it was raining outside.

Somehow it all worked out, and when it would slow down and dry slightly, we raced out to grab some party shots. ‘Easiest wedding party to work with- quick, friendly, and just plain funny. (Funny note- see the first 4 gentlemen on the left? All current or future grooms whose weddings we’ve photographed or will photograph. And then you may recognize the matron of honor- had the privilege of shooting her family photos a couple years ago. And then the two little guys in front? Family sessions with them, too. Pretty spiffy to see everybody together. ‘Can’t thank this whole crew enough.)

Remember Todd and Lindsay’s engagement session in New York City? Their reception had a full dose of the city’s goodness-

Lindsay & Todd, thank you. It has been such a privilege to get to know you both. ‘Looking forward to seeing you now and then as you continue to make happy memories as husband and wife. All the best to you!
