The Here and Now. #1.

It’s cold in Connecticut.

Morning shocks with its arrival of stinging sunshine.

And two 8-year-olds seem to find it enjoyable.

(They get that from their Dad.)

Enjoyable, and evidently a little breathtaking when the wind kicks up:

“Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow,
And we, we were children once again.”
~Bill Morgan, Jr.

Remember when I did the Photo a Day project on the old blog back in 2009? I’m starting something similar again. A photo every day for the year. I’ve begun taking photos daily since New Year’s Day, and I’ll be sharing just a selection of some of my favorites here, entitled ‘The Here and Now.’ I won’t post all of them; I wont post every day– I might share just a quick little quote and leave it at that- or I may feel like using this blog as a vehicle for the longer written word. There may be one photo in each post or there may be many. Whatever the case, I hope you enjoy.
