It’s been awhile, I know.
I got a sweet little email from a blog reader yesterday; she was just checking in to see what was up- if everything was good since I hadn’t blogged in awhile. I don’t really know this reader in ‘real’ life, but I can tell she’s pretty special. So, Ruth, this one’s for you. Things are good. Busy and new, but good. Just little life things happening that made the blog take a back seat.
There are tons of pictures to catch up on from all summer, and I’m gonna’ try to do it. I want to remember. A trip or two to the Cape, a jaunt to NYC, little moments from our days, knitting, writing, garden visits, client photos, a new job, just a bunch of good summer memories. A lot to share soon.
For now, I’ll begin with this little guy. We got to visit him in the hospital a couple weeks ago. It was so nice. I am excited to take his ‘real’ newborn photos soon.
I love little babies. Love. And I love to take their pictures. So thank you to Hartford Hospital for having good window light, because I can’t wait to take some more baby pictures there in February when my little niece or nephew arrives.
And, Roth, I’m sorry to say this, buddy, ‘cuz you’re a boy, but I think you’ll get over it: You are beautiful. I can’t wait to get to know you. I think we’re gonna’ have all sorts of chances. I love your Mom and Dad and sisters. You’re one lucky little boy, you know that? And I think your name is awesome. Welcome to the world, little one. I hope it’s a wonderful journey. I’m glad we get to be here to see it. Love you already.

Oh, and can I just say something here? Deanna is beautiful. She just had a baby, and look at her. Pretty, friend.
