Amidst the busyness of the day-to-day, I can’t help but make time to knit. If I knit for a few minutes every day, I’m convinced it helps brighten the mundane. (This from the girl who a year ago told her sisters that no, thanks, she really wasn’t all that interested in learning to knit. A-hem.)

I first saw this pretty pattern when it was made by Marcy for a certain little baby. I decided to knit it for friends who are expecting a sweet baby boy very soon, and I knit the last stitch just in time for the baby shower.

You may remember the parents-to-be. From here. Or here. Chris and Aly, we can’t wait to meet the little guy!

You can view the project on my Ravelry page here.

“Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.”
