  • WELCOME!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Betsy, and I like taking pictures-- of people, most of all. I'm wife to Paul and mother to Joel, Nora and Connor. They are my favorite subjects. I'm a Special Care nurse by day, a knitter and reader by night. I love New England, and Cape Cod most of all.

I am available for some limited travel, especially if it's to Ireland or some other lovely clime.

Wanna' get in front of my camera? Get in touch and we'll set up a session!

Jacob Thomas. Newborn.

Oh, this boy.
Tiny and sweet and as beautiful as a boy can be.

It’s so nice to photograph a newborn at their home. It’s where it all begins, where love is found and memories will be built through each passing day. Where Mom and Dad hold tight and smile knowingly, looking into what a future with their son will bring. It’s home, and it’s the very best place to be.
Brittany & Phil, thank you for the privilege. It was so nice to watch you enjoy your little boy and so good to see you again. Congratulations!

Knitting Lately.

The weather is perfect.

For knitting. And nothing else, honestly. I spend approximately 12 seconds outside each day- walking very briskly to the car in morning darkness to go to work, and then racing to the parking garage at the end of shift. Rushing inside the house to stick my hands as close to the heat as possible without scorching them. It’s wretchedly cold. Feet-numbingly, hand-crackingly cold. So cold that I make up words to describe its utter wretchedness. And it may be obvious, but I can’t even explain how much I detest it.

However, it does make for some seriously productive knitting in front of the wood stove. That’s pretty much the only good thing I can say about winter.

For now, since there’s no other choice, I’ll take it.

So it’s been awhile since I last updated, and I’m just gonna’ jump right in, because even I was getting sick of looking at our Christmas picture…

Here’s a sweet little photo session of a wonderful crew, 4 people who always leave me feeling full-in-heart after I take their photos.

Melisa, Jon, Jackson & Marin, thank you. Again and always. I love being able to take your pictures. Your kids are something. Really, really something.
