The day positively sparkled on November 2nd. It really did. It was brilliant, and warm, and a saturating sun spewed over onto everything. The skies were blue, the birds sang, the remaining fall colors were warm and so bright. And Lauren & Wade got married.
There’s a lot that can be said about the day, how it was heartwarming and nostalgic, and full of thought and appreciation. How memories intertwined with laughter, and thoughts that are held dear were spoken of in soft tones of love. How Lauren and Wade have loved each other for many days, how that shows in so many ways. It’s obvious they’ve traveled through some times of adversity together, that they’ve seen great joy together. It’s obvious that these two are loved, that they love others deeply, and that they appreciate the happiness they’ve found. There was plenty of planning for this day, a heartfelt wedding service entreating God’s blessing on their marriage, a reception on the front lawn, everything close to heart and home. With all the beauty the eye could see that day, the executed details, the delightful weather, I think what I’ll remember most is the simplest thing, something that can’t even be photographed: it was the way they treated each other, the way they spoke of each other. That may have been the best part.
There are too many photos in this blog post, and I know it. I trimmed it down here and there, but the story needs repeating, and the images tell the story of their first day of marriage better than my words can.
Lauren & Wade. So, so much love and many wishes for a lifetime of blessing.
