  • WELCOME!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Betsy, and I like taking pictures-- of people, most of all. I'm wife to Paul and mother to Joel, Nora and Connor. They are my favorite subjects. I'm a Special Care nurse by day, a knitter and reader by night. I love New England, and Cape Cod most of all.

I am available for some limited travel, especially if it's to Ireland or some other lovely clime.

Wanna' get in front of my camera? Get in touch and we'll set up a session!

Baby Love.

Baby Warren. He’s so loved, this little one. It’s evident in every corner in his home, in every small detail and thought. In the blanket his Mommy made as she waited and dreamed of him, in the hand-knit hats and soft baby things he wears. It’s seen in the decorations his Dad put up in the nursery, in the way Warren is held in their arms as they beam into huge smiles. He’s loved, this baby boy. Happiness is this, right here. And it’s  beautiful thing to see.

Recently.

Recently, Connecticut has been snow-laden. For weeks upon weeks. It just lingers and adds to that claustrophobic cabin fever.

So, I do what I can to keep sane.

One of those things is knitting.

Hats, and baby toys, and baby blankets, and mittens, a cowl and an afghan. Knitting anything that will keep me from losing the battle of snow fatigue.

First up, is my own little attempt at a custom blanket for my dear little new nephew, Emmett Patrick. Here’s his gift, knit up in Nice and Knit DK Driftwood. The Emmett Blanket.

And here he is, Emmett Patrick Stanley, dearest little love.

Sigh. There’s just nothing like a new little life.

Double the Love.

Ava and Aubrey are just about as sweet as they come. I got to have a fun little morning session with these two in preparation for Valentine’s Day. (And yes, they’re just as adorable and well-behaved as they seem to be in these photos.)

Thanks for coming over, girls!
